WDFPF Unequipped Powerlifting Championships

Three OUPLC lifters competed in the World Drug Free Powerlifting Federation Unequipped world championships this weekend in Milton Keynes. The WDFPF is the global federation to which the BDFPA is affiliated.

In the 75kg class, Robin Mihrshahi (180/130/220) finished 3rd in the open, while Adam Sandel (175/120/212.5) finished just behind in 4th. Both medalled in their age categories, with Robin coming 2nd in the senior 75s and Adam winning the junior 75 section; this means that OUPLC has a world champion!

In the 100kg class, Tristan Gray-Davies (175/127.5/220) put in a solid performance despite having his training hit by flu over the past few months.

Congratulations guys! Let's hope that the club can ride the momentum of their awesome lifts this coming weekend at the British University championships. Remember, you'll be able to follow along with OUPLC's progress via our Twitter feed on Saturday and Sunday.
