BDFPA West Midland - Post meet
To everyone who competed this Sunday, what can I say? Well done! You're a credit to yourselves, and OUPLC (a very experienced & well-respected lifter was so impressed with OUPLC that he went out of his way to tell me).
A BIG thank you to Luke Pike, for devoting all his time and energy to each and every one of us throughout the day -- Luke, none of us would have achieved what we did without your support -- thank you!
Everyone did really well, but there were many notable attempts, including Dan Koffler & Karl's monstrous squat, Charlie's crazy bench (and 9/9!), Tan (9/9), Tristan & Matt L-Js big PR deadlift, Tiffany's 9/9 and close-to-PR total (despite only getting back into powerlifting in the past few months (!)), Adam Sandel blowing away his previous PRs (especially well done dude), Scott's big total and awesome bench and Rob Pierce's especially impressive deadlift.
This meet had the largest turnout of any Divisional I have ever seen (50-something lifters). And even given the large number of experienced lifters, several of our guys placed 1st, 2nd, or 3rd in their weight classes, OVERALL. Fantastic job everyone.
The Cambridge boys are in for a world of hurt.
